Hi everyone,
There are things from Japan that can make you smile and relax every time you think of them. Everything is clean, organized, structured in a relaxed way and with a sense of harmony across town.
Zen gardens (Karesansui 枯山水) are just another representation of such a culture. Zen gardens are made out of three elements: sand, gravel and rocks. Sometimes it can have some other elements (such as plants) but is not that common.
The sand symbolizes water, and you can use a small rake to simulate the movement of the water. Rocks symbolize mountains and they are supposed to be placed very gently, like they are floating over the water. Normally, you do the sand first, then the rocks and at last, the other elements.
Zen gardens are located all over Japan, but the best ones I have seen are in Kyoto. If you ever have a chance to go, there are private collections shown in museums from time to time that are really good. Ryoan-ji (kirainet.com) in Kyoto is a big zen garden with very interesting mathematical properties.
This one is in my house in Gran Canaria, it’s a very nice thing to do on a Sunday evening. Just make yourself a warm tea, play some relaxing music and start playing once and again with the sandbox until you feel satisfied with your creation. If you don’t, clean up everything and start again.

What do you guys think it’s better: the process or the result?
Have a nice day!

Hi everyone,
Today I would like to talk about Yoga. I’ve been doing yoga lately and it has been such a revealing experience. I have always heard about it, but never really had the opportunity to step in and enjoy it myself. Today I will tell you about my short experience.
Some weeks ago, I found a teacher and I decided to give it a try. I came to a very big room with no furniture at all. In the corner, the teacher’s tiny table with a Buddha, a small cascade, some incense burning and some pots with tools used in Yoga. Just by looking at that corner, you can start to feel relaxed yourself.
Everyone has their own mat, and they spread in the floor across the room. In my class, we are about 10 people plus the teacher, and we fit there with no problems. One thing to mention is that Yoga seems to be more appealing to women than to men, since i am the only bloke in the class.
At some point, the lights go down and some relaxing music starts playing very softly. You have to be in the lying asana position and relax yourself. The teacher then, takes control of you and guide you through a really nice journey. The journey has two parts.
The first thing is to understand your breathing. Feel how air enters and leaves your body. There are six different kind of techniques to breath (pranayama), and each one of those gives you a different effect; some are relaxing and some gives you energy. In this part we are trying to get as relaxed as we can, and we feel the air coming in and out of your body, oxygenating every cell of your body.
Because we are breathing all our lives, we may think that is easy, but nothing further from the truth. To fully enjoy the benefits of breathing, we need to train ourselves quite a lot.
The second part is about being conscious of your own body. Being conscious is feeling that all your body is connected, that the energy is inside you, evenly distributed amond every organ and every part of your body.
After this introductory exercise, we start the Sun salutation. This is a series of 12 movements, including: Mountain pose (tadasana), upward/downward facing dog pose, scorpion pose and lunge. You have to repeat the movement with your right and your left feet.
The difficult part is to do it soo smoothly that you don’t have to think about the movement, but just enjoy it. Again breathing coordination is much harder than it thinks. As Bruce Lee said, “be water my friend”
Beyond this point, we start doing poses and stretching our bodies. At the end, we do some deep relaxation exercises and finish with some buddhist mantra all together.
As for me, it has been a really nice experience to relax, stretch, and learn about this fascinating discipline that i’m sure is going to stick with me for a long time.
Cheers!

Welcome everyone,
Today I would like to talk about the influence of your friends and the possibilities you have of being rich.
This topic is widely misunderstood from the roots, and I would like to take a moment with you and give it a deeper thought.
In the stock market, it’s known by everyone that information is power. Power is something you need to have money, and the more you have, the more money you are worth (not talking about politics tho). Recent articles from the news make it clear with examples such as:
“An investor who would have bought 1.000 stocks from Iberdrola (stock IBE.MC) in September 7th in 28€, and sold it yesterday (Sept 28th), would have earned 8.000€”
“An investor who would have bought 1.000€ worth of stock from Endesa in September 8th (stock ELE.MC), and sold it yesterday (Sept 28th), would have earned 6.000€”
(Article in Expansion)
Yeah, you heard it right, earn 6.000€ “spending” 28.000€ in one month, or rather “spend” 1.000€ and earn 6.000€. Sounds like cheap propaganda, yet is still true.
Both companies, Iberdrola (ACS bought 35% of shares) and Endesa (in negotiations with CNMV because E.ON made a takeover bid), are managing lots of information that can make you rich.
Being rich, after all, is a question of who are your friends. If you have money, money will come to you with the right contacts. When you become rich, you will get to speak with people who have lots of sensitive information, for instance:
“Hey Fer, just wanted to tell you that this company is going to sign a deal with Microsoft next week”
And you just have to call your broker and wait… sounds cool huh? Just to make it clear, I’m not talking only about the stock market, but it’s a quite a pretty straight-forward example.
I found that poor people can increase their income with the right friends, and that rich people usually know those blokes already. So if you want to be rich soon, give it a try on your networking skills…
Good luck!!
